Indiana Public School Superintendents and Forecast5 Partner
to Deliver Analytics to Indiana Schools

NAPERVILLE, Ill(April 15, 2014) — Forecast5 Analytics, Inc. and the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS) have recently announced a partnership agreement to develop analytics and Business Intelligence applications for Indiana public schools. Indiana is now the sixth state where organizations have joined the Forecast5 Corporate Partner Program.

The immediate focus of the partnership between Forecast5 and IAPSS will be the customization of 5Sight for Indiana public schools. 5Sight is a dynamic Business Intelligence and visualization platform which helps schools make important decisions with comparative insight.

Many Indiana public schools are facing increased budgetary pressure as a result of lower revenues, tax caps and special education legislation, all of which have placed a damper on public school finances. School administrators need data discovery and decision support tools in order to develop sustainable plans to do more with less.

“The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS) is very excited about the partnership with Forecast5 and what their business analytic tools can bring to bear on making informed decisions with easily accessible and usable data for Indiana school superintendents,”  J.T. Coopman, Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, said. “The graphical nature of the analytic tools will make the data more user friendly, viewer friendly and easier to understand when presented to school boards and community groups. With accountability and transparency for schools today, the Forecast5 analytic tools will become the new imperative for school leaders in Indiana.”

The IAPSS will also make use of other Forecast5 tools. 5Share is a social collaboration engine that allows school leaders to better communicate important data. 5Cast is a quantitative analysis and financial projection tool that makes it easier to instantly compare unlimited scenarios in one database. Finally, 5Maps is a geospatial analytics tool that allows school districts to plot their data within a Google Maps interface. Together, these tools will help school districts make better informed financial decisions in less time.

“We are honored to receive this level of support and collaboration from the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents,” Mike English, President and CEO of Forecast5 Analytics said. “The Association leadership has developed a vision for the power of data analytics for Indiana public education. It is going to be exciting to see school corporations use Forecast5 technology to maximize resources and opportunities for students across the state.”
