TCU’s Financial Empowerment Program Expands With New Middle School Curriculum

The TCU Financial Empowerment High School Program (powered by FoolProof) launched exclusively in Indiana in the fall of 2015. In January 2018, the program was expanded to include a middle school curriculum. Today, more than 180 teachers in 130 middle and high schools have registered for the program.  The TCU Financial Empowerment Program (powered by FoolProof) is the only curriculum in the world endorsed by: The Consumer Federation of America, The Campaign for Commercial Free Childhood, Public Citizen and National Association of Consumer Advocates.

The TCU Financial Empowerment program is a free curriculum that quickly engages middle school and high school students with a unique, web-driven financial literacy program developed by teachers and personal finance experts.  Hear what students say in this video about how the curriculum teaches students critical thinking skills needed to ensure a lifetime of smart financial decisions.

The program provides teachers with a turn-key platform with resources and tools to assist in presenting the concepts delivered through interactive instruction sessions on topics ranging from checking accounts, credit cards and credit scores to saving for college, investing and retirement.  It meets all the Indiana academic requirements for personal finance.
