Position Information: The Board of School Trustees of Rensselaer Central Schools Corporation invites applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools - Elkhart Community Schools

Information: The Assistant Superintendent of Instruction (Elementary) is responsible for overseeing and improving the district's academic programs at the elementary level. This position ensures that curricula are aligned with district and state standards, improves instructional practices, and drives academic success across elementary schools. The Assistant Superintendent leads the Instructional Leadership Department, supervises key staff members, and works closely with other district leaders to ensure effective program implementation and evaluation.

Required: Ed.S or higher in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction. Current Indiana Administrative License, Administrative Certification. Minimum of three years of successful district office leadership experience. Minimum of five years of principal experience. Strong foundation is Science of Reading and System-Wide Implementation.
Preferred: Ph.D or Ed.D in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction.

Provide direction, oversight, and evaluation of high school athletic program, including budgeting, equipment, fundraising, ticket sales, and media coverage.
Supervise athletic staff, including shared responsibility for recruitment, employment, development, retention, and evaluation of coaches and athletic staff.
Oversee the maintenance and use of MHS athletic facilities.
Establish and maintain a consistent athletic code of conduct for all student-athletes, athletic programs, and coaches.
Assist head coaches in developing and maintaining effective feeder programs.
Monitor and enforce all IHSAA, state, and Corporation policies and procedures.
Establish a process to effectively and regularly communicate the department's vision and expectations to all stakeholders.
Supervise athletic contests.
Promote a positive school culture and good sportsmanship amongst students, athletes, coaches and parents.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and central office staff.
Experience/Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for positive impact of athletics on the educational mission of the school.
Ability to work effectively with all stakeholders.
Ability to construct and oversee a budget.
Ability to oversee and coordinate successful athletic programs.
